Thank you for the advice to shut the door and keep it closed for as long as possible—overnight is typically sufficient to freeze the new fillings and cool the air in the gaps. My sister's refrigerator door would not close. I'll advise her to get the refrigerator serviced so that the air inside is properly chilled.
