Dishwasher Maintenance

If the dishes are not coming out of the dishwasher clean, there are a few dishwasher maintenance tricks that you can try before calling a dishwasher repair service. First, check to see if adding a rinse agent might help. Many homes in the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas of Arizona have minerals in the water or hard water.

Also try adding a commercially available dishwasher cleaning product and run an empty dishwasher through a full wash cycle with hot water. This will often clear out food debris and mineral deposits that can keep the dishwasher from working efficiently. Clean around the dishwasher door gasket, as well as the sides, top, and bottom of the door to ensure that a good seal is maintained and no food debris builds up.
